Queen of Hearts
One of my favorites! Ok, I confess they are all near and dear to my heart but the Queen takes the cake! I had much fun designing and creating this handbag. It is made of durable black fabric and is lined in red cotton knit fabric which I have hand-stitched the edge in black embroidery thread. The Queen is also made of fabric and has a polymer clay crown painted gold, and decorative heart at her neckline. Her collar is hand crocheted in red 100% cotton thread. The bag has a polymer clay heart button closure and two polymer clay hearts, one on each side of bag where the strap attaches. The polymer clay pieces I made and hand-painted, and have sealed with three coats of clear sealant. The back of the bag is decorated with red fiber and numerous hand-made ribbon roses in black and red.
The bag and the Queen have been treated with two coats of Scotch Gard.
Measurements: Approximately 12 inches tall (at the tallest section) and approx. 15 inches wide (at the widest section). The strap measures approx. 35 inches.
